Netherlands based yellowBird has asked us to join forces with SAMESAME and Stratosphere to create an exclusive experience for Van Cleef & Arpels (VC&A).

For the VC&A exhibition in the MOCA museum in Shanghai, Mindlight created a high resolution 360 degree interactive movie experience, which was filmed by yellowBird, utilizing Microsoft KINECT for navigation and hotspot activation. Localized in Chinese and English.

Visitors of the museum get view behind the scenes of Van Cleef & Arpels. They can look around in various departments of Van Cleef & Arpels and trigger background video interviews and see sketches and images of special jewelry collections throughout time.

The exhibition runs from May 20th to July 15th 2012.

A dedicated website for the exhibition can be found on:
www.timelessbeauty-vancleefarpels.com.

Some technical details:
The application has 9  panoramic videos with resolution of 5400×2700 pixels, a total of 35 (17+9+8+1)  hotspots triggering video transitions, video interviews (Full-HD), image slideshows, menu options and KINECT calibration. It all takes up around 14-15 GB of data.
The experience is projected on a wall using a HD projector.
